The Scene

One foggy morning in Hoi An, along the Thu Bon River, I spied this scene from the bank as I was passing by on scooter. Overcast skies made for colorless waters, and accompanied by a light fog it made for a fantastic minimalist scene, with just the boat and brightly colored rain jackets of the fishermen standing out.

I remained along the riverside for probably 20 to 30 minutes, waiting for just the right scene to unfold. This capture, with one worker holding a fully outstretched net, as the other reaching far to the right with paddle to steer the boat, was my favorite.
