10% Back Projects
Since moving to Vietnam in 2019, I have been involved with a number of great groups and causes, meeting some incredible partners along the way.
10% of fine art print sales–both Open Edition and Limited Edition prints–will go directly towards impacting projects and needs like those mentioned below. It’s a small way to give back to Vietnam, and other places, that have given so much to me.
HOPE CENTER – Tuition, Basics & Support for Kids
Hope Center is an Orphanage and Care Center outside of HCMC with well over 100 kids, many from H’mong communities in the far north of Vietnam without anywhere else to go or call home. At Hope Center, they receive support for tuition and basics, thanks to the support of several groups. For Hope Center kids and others in different places with similar needs, this is one of the main areas funds will go towards.
A LIFE ON THE WATER – Refugees in Vietnam & Cambodia
In parts of both Vietnam and Cambodia there are thousands of people who live without citizenship in any country, making life incredibly challenging. Most live their lives primarily on the water, or in stilt houses where it floods during the rainy season. It’s a group of people that has been known about for decades, but a lot of work remains to be done to help them. With some great partners, this is a people group I’ve spent time and money supporting and with aims to do a lot more in the future.
Kid’s Cancer Center – Ho Chi Minh City
In HCMC, there is a Children’s Cancer Center in District 1 and in other places where the staff cares for young boys and girls dealing with cancer. I have met moms who have had to sell their hair salons just in order to help pay for their child’s treatment, and without any idea of what will happen in the future. It’s an easy group to want to try to bring some cheer to and support, and I have some great partners who help to raise money each year, to help kids and their parents.
