The Scene

It's a full terrace with Red Dao families hard at work, planting rice along the hillside at every level. Given the size of the task, it's all hands on deck with multiple generations working alongside one another, everyone doing their part.

Shooting a scene like this is a bit like street photography. You are hoping to catch everyone in just the right place, doing the right thing. And the more people in a given scene (ten, in this case) the more difficult it becomes. It's a balance of persistence and patience, hoping to capture the right moment. This one works.
