A Day at the Beach, Jam Session in Session - Cannon Beach, Oregon

The Scene

Something I look for at times in potential photo captures are bands of color. In this scene you have three: a light-blue sky above, the middle deep-blue of the Pacific, and light-colored sands below. It would be a great scene just on its own, but it's a lot better with several beachgoers out enjoying their day.

One individual is out for a walk — the beach has always been great for that. A couple also is out for a walk, and with their dog in tow — a common sight any time of year along the Oregon coast. Finally, you have two dudes with guitars, conducting their own jam session, and putting on a free concert for anyone within hearing distance.

It's everyone simply out, enjoying the sun and a day. A day at the beach. The coast as it should be.
