The Scene

Just across from Astoria, Oregon, on the Washington side of the Columbia River, I stumbled across this peaceful low tide scene. Seven old dock pilings made fantastic subjects for a blue hour end to this day. Cotton candy skies reflect a deep pink and purple into the puddle-filled and textured sands below, creating a pathway of light, seemingly, beckoning you out towards the sea. A picturesque way to end the night, no?
